Let the Journey Begin!

As an Investor and aspiring Developer I’ve always wanted to find the balance between building generational wealth and providing support to my community. Last year, I joined a unique development program called Jumpstart Germantown. They work to revitalize communities throughout Philadelphia by training and mentoring aspiring investors on the importance of blight removal and building wealth locally.

In partnership with the Philadelphia Housing Authority, Jumpstart graduates were given an opportunity to enter a property sourcing lottery. Luckily for me, I won! 

In November, I was awarded a dilapidated property in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia that is in need of a full rehab. In the weeks that followed I worked with many mentors and contractors to develop my scope of work, draw schedule and budget for the project. This program will enable me to develop my very first rehab that will offer a Philadelphia family affordable homeownership.
